Streetglide at Excelsior Henderson

A buddy and myself went to Mankato to watch the hillclimb races that the Kato Cycle Club was hosting. On the way there we passed the old Excelsior Henderson building in Belle Plain. The building is now an alfhalpha processing plant. I thought it would be fun to get a picture of the Streetglide in front of the old Excelsior Henderson factory. Enjoy your alfhalpha....

Sportster Forums

Today I found a new site that looks like it might be cool. It's a forum for Sportster riders and has a good look. The Sportster Forum is off of an existing site called HDSportsters.com where reader's Harley Davidson Sportster motorcycles are posted. If you get a moment check out the Sportster forums at HDSportsters.Com.

Latest Streetglide Pictures

Here are some pictures I took on 6.2.06 with my Nikon D70. These are the first pictures taken of the FLHX Streetglide with a nice camera. I also grabbed some shots of the Hooker tuned flow exhaust.

SE-204 Cam On Streetglide Impressions

I picked up my Streetglide with the new Screaming Eagle SE-204 cam installed. The cam and install was $800.00 (Steep) but the results were impressive. When I bought the FLHX I had a Mikuni HSR-42 carb installed with the Screaming Eagle air cleaner and hooker tuned flow slip on mufflers. I liked the setup but the mufflers seemed too quiet and the performance doing a roll on at 3000rpm was leaving me wanting a bit more. I didn't want to go with the Screaming Eagle heads or 95 inch kit due to the cost and the fact that I was generally satisfied with the performance of the Streetglide in its stage 1 form.

Results! First I also had the Streetglide dyno tuned which was another $300.00 but added some HP. How much? I'll let you know next week when I get the print outs. The printer at the Harley Dealer was on the fritz and would only show the lines not the numbers.

First of all and most impressive was the sound. The new cam really woke up my pipes and I had a great rumble, much louder than before which was a mellow thump thump. The performance was as expected much improved in roll on performance, the bike seems much snappier now. I expect to enjoy this new cam much on the ride in to work.
