Streetglide Dyno Results!

I finally got my sheet from my dyno tuning that I did a few months back at Zylstra Harley Davidson. For a larger picture check out my post at Minnesota Motorcyclist. This is a 2006 FLHX streetglide with the Screaming Eagle air cleaner kit, Mikuni HSR-42 carb, Hooker Tuned Flow slip-on mufflers, and a SE-204 Cam. The results, 80 HP and 94 Foot/Lbs of Torque.

2006 Harley Davidson Streetglide Seat For Sale FLHX

When I bought my 2006 FLHX Streetglide I had the dealership replace the stock Streetglide / Road King seat with what they call the reach seat. This lets short guys like me touch the ground. I have a brand new Street Glide seat i'm putting on ebay. It's perfect for someone needing a stock FLHX Streetglide or Road King seat.

Biker Build Off 2007

The Discovery Channel's Biker Build Off is set to begin again in August 2007. Unfortunately the first episode of Biker Build Off is on the date when i'll be at Sturgis. I was hoping to see a judging for Biker Build Off in Sturgis but perhaps they aren't doing that this year.

Harley Recalls My StreetGlide

Not an emergency folks, it's not even a safety recall. On the 2006 FL models including the FLHX Streetglide the ignition switch is on the fork in what's called the "international style". This is not an easy switch to use when locking the fork and switch but with some practice it's no problem. I actually had to take the Streetglide to the Harley Dealer and ask how to lock the forks and lock. Here's the process. Turn the fork all the way to left. Turn the ignition switch counter clockwise as far as it goes. Verify the fork is locked and then insert your ignition key to lock the ignition. The recall is due to the lock being hard to use vs a style on the dash I suppose. Not sure i'm not doing the recall as I like it how it is. Attached is the Streetglide recall notice.
